2011...eeeeeeeeYIKES!  That schedule sucks big time!  Sign UCF to two 2n1s before that crap happens.

UCF will never sign a 2-1 with USF.

Didn't they sign some 2-1 deals with other Big East teams.  Honest question.  What's the difference.

That is a good question.  Those contracts with Pitt, etc were signed when UCF was independent and not part of a conference.  UCF is looking to increase it's stature.  GOL does not feel the team that are outside the top 25-30 deserve a 2-1 deal.  Heck, he even said that he will not sign off on any future 2-1's with Miami, FSU, UF, etc.  A few months back UCF and FSU were talking about some games and FSU wanted a 2-1 and GOL said thanks but no thanks.

UCF now has an on campus stadium being built and will ensure they have at least 6 home games every year.  Signing 2-1's with programs will give scheduale makers a headache.

Half of the students at home games -- where they go for free -- don't watch the game.  For many students, the game is a reason to party and socialize.  Just try walking through the northern endzone area during a game and you will see.

The students are also among the first to leave early when the game isn't close... yes, they stayed against FIU... but they were gone haflway through the fourth against McNeese... except for the Beef Studs, SBC, and a handful of others - most students are not that into the actual game.

Football is a social event as much as a sporting event.

So I could easily believe that students would head to Orlando to tailgate without having tickets (or the intention) of getting in to the game.

You can't schedule cupcakes every week.  Even our fans don't like it.........Why would other teams say its OK?

Unfortunately we don't have enough fans to make a difference ... yet!

So, it's safe to assume that everyone on this thread has season tickets, never misses a home game, travels at least once or twice a year, will be at whatever bowl game we are invited to, and you already have your tickets to Orlando this weekend?

If not, QUIT ********.

Geez! Is there anything about USF football that you guys DO LIKE?

GO BULLS!

1.  Season Tickets...yes, since day 1

2.  Never miss a home game...only one game, Southern Miss' loss to USF. Why?

I was in the f* hospital. I tried to convince the wife that if I could get discharged

by noon and rest up, I could at least catch one half of the game. I think BullDoug

is the only other Bullbacker with a better home record than me.

3. Travels at least once per year...only since we we began IA play.

4. Bowl game...depends on the bowl, but I've been to every one so far ;D

5. 4 tickets to Orlando...and to underscore what a kind, charitable, forthright

individual I am, two of those tickets were given - gratis - to my ex-bossman

   who is a UCF alumnus.

and from E.T.:

Unfortunately we don't have enough fans to make a difference ... yet!

And that's because of goobers like you who don't have the common decency to

live in the continental United States and attend every game. You're happy just to

sit in front of your computer, guzzling Brhaman beer and screaming over the keybaord.

I certainly hope you're proud of yourself.. 8-)

good schedule to go to a bowl every year 3 conference wins and you are in.

poor schedule if you want to be a top 25 team or want a sniff at a NC

if this is the plan for 5-7 years to give us some cred then bump schedule up to make serious runs then go for it

still do not like 1-1 with these schools

if usf is going way of kansas st you might as well forget program.you will never increase season tix base with this type schedule and you will never get blue chip recruits to come to usf

the big 3 compete for national championships

it is a crime that usf has chosen the kansas st formula of going to a bowl game as their main goal

usf has chosen to go small time

You know, the arrogance that USF is showing towards the UCF series, and then getting this news, REALLY makes about zero sense.

We DONT(alledgedly) want to do UCF every year, but we'll go play friggin Austin Peay - ON THE ROAD no less - is perfectly fine.

BULLSPIT!!!!!!

you are correct and it demonstrates that the real reason leavitt doesnt want to play ftu/ou/oc is shear fear
