USF’s official depth chart for the McNeese State is out and ... drum roll - the starting quarterback is listed as Pat Julmiste OR Matt Grothe. Of course, USF coach Jim Leavitt has said that if Julmiste and Grothe are even he’ll go with Julmiste because of his experience. Also remember the depth chart USF releases at the start of each week is subject to change and not set in stone.

The biggest changes from the depth chart I posted Aug. 19 (scroll down further in the blog) is the exclusion of senior LT Thed Watson and senior DL Tavarious Robinson. It’s probably more evidence that both players will be redshirted - i.e. didn’t make grades. Especially when junior Jared Carnes is listed as the starter at left tackle and back-up at right tackle.

I thought Jackie Chambers was suspended for the first 2 or 6 games.....Wow, no Ced Hill at TE?  We need DEs, and OTs.  Mr. Davis over at Lake Gibson better get his grades.  There is some playing time available if he is ready.

Yep, that is surprising about Cedric Hill.  Watson must be getting redshirted.  All of a sudden this season is beginning to get very interesting with these roster moves, suspensions, etc.  Defense must be stellar this season.
