This is an advantage to USF...they'll only complete 30% of their passes.

He was pretty much set on Louisville the last few weeks from what I heard. I didn't think we ever really had a legit shot at him, it was more speculation because of his brother and the fact that his dad called Leavitt.

It would have been nice to have a pure QB commit. I'm a huge fan of Voss, but I'd like to see another QB in this class.

My guess is that Louisville uses a pro style offense and following Brohm will be good for the scouts.  I'm with Joe though.  It seems every QB we get is a runner first, and passer second.   I'd like to see a pure QB run this system we have and see if that works.

Why he chose Louisville?  The thing that comes to my mind are two things, Petrino is going to be there for sometime to come and he has one of the best offenses in the country.  So, for a Q.B. putting points on the board brings lots of recognition.

They didn't catch us. You could make a very easy arguement that we played a much more difficult OOC as well.

How can you say that we lost this recruiting battle when these guys have yet to play their senior years in HS, nor have yet to set foot on campus from their Freshman year of college?

************. Was this before or after Voss committed and did that play a role in his choice. If so screw him if he is afraid of competition. Oh well it was good just to get the publicity. I hope he learns to hate his choice and our LB's.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
