Guest R_to_the_izzo
promised 4 years of starting, I find it difficult to believe that there's an 18-year oldwhose been around the game this long, to have swallowedthat one hook, line and sinker.  Surely these kids - or theirparents at least - understand how this thing works. Then again, if you actually, honestly believe that the sunrises and sets on your precious little punkin' ... well, youreally need to get out more. A new coach, a new system (the same one you ran in h/s), and the fact that your the 3rd best player in the state of football should give you a reason to believe that you could start at the 1A level for four years. What are Beck's stats from Nebraska ? 1-5 with a pick, as I said they wanted to redshirt him but he was forced into action in the 4th quarter vs Kansas. That's a bit bold ... 1,000 times Go BULLS !!! Like I said...that's Texas, not Tarpon Springs. And if he is indeed not getting the reps, thenit could be that the coaches think that "3rd best" thingmay be called into question. Or maybe thats his talkative step-mother trying to make an excuss up for his actions? All I am saying is the kid has the talent, and the risk is worth the reward for the coaches to contact him. Im sure if he was interested we would listen, i just dont think we are what they want. What was the name of that FSU QB was highly rated then became a FB and dissapeared that tells you alot about rankings. You still gotta go out there and win it.

I feel like Callahan create the problem with the way they treated him like a hero. They even asked him if it was ok for them to recruit Taylor. He came off shoulder surgery in the spring and after a summer where he started winning over teammates and lost 20 lbs, ended up getting demoted to 4th string. Some people respond to motivation like that but some do not.
