"I've sure had a lot of people come through my line today wearing USF shirts", was the statement from the checkout girl when I visited a Publix in Sarasota today.

This never would have happened 10 years ago.

I was on my honeymoon in Hawaii and was at the very highest point (i.e. approx. 10,000 feet) of Mt. Haleakala which is the tallest dormant volcano on Maui....and ran into two USF alumni....small world part of the story is that I knew one of them.

p.s.  The part of the story that I love is that they stopped us because my new bride, a UF grad, was wearing a Bulls sweatshirt!

i was working i believe yesterday and a tour guide from STARS tells the freshmen, "i don't want to see any of you wearing blue and orange, green and orange, and black and gold.  i only want to see you all wearing the green and gold.  there is no excuse for you not to be wearing it, parents go with your kids and buy a sweatshirt, t-shirt and hat to start off with."  i heard that and it brought a huge smile to my face

AS a non scientific exercise in Bulldom, next time you see a car with either the USF plates, or a USF fan plate on the front, or a USF window decal....throw up the bull horns and see what happens.  A lot of times you get the "what on earth is that man trying to say to me" look on the face (could be mom or dad wheelin' around in the kids car, or something to the effect that they're not really thinking in terms of the USF logo).

Sometimes I get the horns in return...other times mom makes sure the door is locked and stares straight ahead.  8-)

Funny, yet true! Sometimes I think I'm better flippin' the bird, with some of the "deer in headlights" looks I've had thrown my way after giving another car the "Go Bulls" sign. However, more often than not, I get the horns back at me.

Bulls pride loud and proud and feet down the street in green and gold.  In my classroom I put Future USF Bull stickers on their folders.  We should all do our part to make it the BULLS NATION and wear green and gold every where we go!

We have all 5 of our cars with the USF brag tags!  In fact we have USF license plates on the front of our cars also.  We want them to see us coming and going! GO BULLS!
