Although this has always seemed to be our weak spot, it seems to be finally strengthening.  We are finally, for the most part, getting 7 innings out of Kazmir, Hendrickson and now Shields.  hopefully with McDung out of the rotation someone else can step up and win some games.  I am looking forward to seeing if Edwin can be either a dominant closer or set up pitcher.

things are definately coming together nicely, and attendance is picking up with the winning, over 17,000 tonight, and thats all Rays fans.  Arizona fans dont travel well and not many live here as it is.

I went to last nights game which we won 8-5 and it was awesome.  There was actually a little atmosphere for once.  A lot more excitement.  It was pretty awesome sitting in right field with a group of people i didnt know just giving the diamondback right fielder sean green a whole bunch of crap.

ive never seen that at a rays game before.

It's no different from any other sport.  Win and they will come.  Unless you're the Dolphins and it's a playoff game, that is.

What a coincidence ..... that's how many tickets short Miami was at the blackout deadline for that NFL PLAYOFF game ...

Maybe. Maybe not.  But at least we have a good line-up backed up by a decent rotation.  I went to the game today and Kazmir did not dissapoint.  8 k's in 7 2/3 innings.  Camp finished the 8th and Meadows got his second save in two days.  Huff has definitely found his swing.  A nice 2 run shot in the 6th.

And with Corcoran and Switzer up, the staff overall is seeming to get better.  Cant wait to they give Salas a chance.  Dude is just tearing it up in the minors....very well could be the dominant closer the Rays need.  Its nice to finally watch DRays game with the feeling that any game could be a win (with Doug and Seth, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that a loss was a sure thing)
