Interesting WVU article on 12th Game w/slap @ USF

It's true....we need about another 20K Bulls fans to regularly fill the lower bowl. Once that happens it would be easy to swell attendance to near sell out capacity for big games, such as the potential big east BCS play-in game that never materialized last year when we lost to UCONN.

Then again, I don't take these kind of things to personally. I support USF with attendance and wallet to the best of my family's ability so I am not ashamed of nothing....

Villanova is actually a decent football team, but they are and always will be Division 1AA.

If the BE expands.. it will only be for football. Seeing another 2-4 teams in the basketball conference would be outrageous!

It also depends if schools are willing to join the conference as football only (I doubt UCF would want that).

But don’t be surprised if there aren’t many options other than I-AA teams in the future. You can play a couple of non-league games against BCS teams every year, and [uSF]has those scheduled. But adding any more is counterproductive both competitively and from the standpoint of the home games. You don’t buy home games against BCS schools. You buy them against Buffalo.

The richer schools are going to buy Buffalo every time, though. For any school that can’t afford seven-figure guarantees, [McNeese State] might be all that’s left.

How long is the requirement to play a CUSA team every year?  If still required and we don't sign UCF for '07 and '08, who do we go after?
