guys, reading this story initially, i don't think this kid has ever played for ole miss, so he wouldn't be a  transfer. reads like he just signed with them, so he'd have to be released from his letter of intent, which he has. he's no more a  transfer than Cedric Hill is on the football team. he signed with Miami but never got there.

Does that mean he doesn't have to sit out a year?

From what I understand he would not have to sit out a year.  Right Greg?

if he is released from his LOI, there's no reason he should have to sit out a year. it's a common courtesy schools extend when there's a coaching change after signing day. that said, sounds like mississippi's coaches are also actively evaluating him ... i know mccullum has expressed some hesitancy in having both his point guards in the same class (chris howard will be a redshirt freshman). i think his preference initially was for a junior college PG, but if he feels like Bozeman is more talented, I suppose he could override that to get the best player on campus. ...

He should play for Southern Arkansas University with his Dad.  They have a better chance of making the tournament than we do.

Buckley, Gransbery, Verdejo, Williams, and Capko (although a walk-on) all came from Div. 1-A programs. Trust me, at this point, I'm glad to have them. But it just reaffirms the gut feeling that we're just a viable 2nd option for a lot of b-ball players.

We have to earn the right not to be that 2nd option.

It'll happen.

I love it when we get kids that are interested and then people get on here ******** about them.  We have some wonderful USF fans, don't we? ::)
