USF's draft hopefuls work out for NFL scouts on Friday afternoon, but the Bulls' returning players had their 40-yard times recorded this week as well. Fastest? That'd be receiver Taurus Johnson, 4.41 seconds on grass.Five others were under 4.5 seconds: defensive backs Mike Jenkins, Jerome Murphy, Antonio Cox and Danny Verpaele, and running back Ricky Ponton. Verpaele's coming back from a foot injury, so that time is a good sign for the Bulls -- should be a good competition at safety between him and fellow sophomore Carlton Williams.Coach Jim Leavitt, by the way, said he came in at "5.7 flat." New defensive tackle Frank Harry, all 6-4, 290 pounds of him? 5.06 seconds, not bad at all for a guy his size. Receiver Ean Randolph was at 4.55, linebacker Stephen Nicholas at 4.63 ... Of all the players on USF's 2006 roster, who do you think has the fastest game speed?
