5-11  in the BE and a winning season would be enough to warrant the man finish his contract (2yrs)

in 2007-8 is when rmc should be jugded if he can take us all the way. if not change horses, usf will have players , money and a clean slate.

EXACTLY...This isn'tgoing to be a 100% turn around next year.

If he wins the games he should out of conference and gets a few wins in conference he and HIS TEAM deserve one more season.

100% agreed Joe.  I hope he surpasses those numbers...that would be great... it can happen with a little good luck for a change.

Did RMC have 3 1/2 years to prepare for Big East?  That would imply he knew about the Big East during the 2002-03 season?  Before LRS and the rest of us...Was he even hired yet when he started his preparation?

I was a year off. Just to clarify, USF accepted the Big East invitation in November, 2003. My bad.   :P

if he doesn't improve the team next year, then he should be gone.

I'd say that is accurate, and i believe most everyone here agrees with that by looking at the poll results above regarding contract extensions.

What are you saying? It sounds like you are saying you hope CRM gets fired at the end of his contract; but not now...Is that what you are saying - You want the guy to improve yet you want him fired down the road?? Wow, you're a great fan.

I must be misunderstanding.

I would like to see us hire a high profile coach when finances afford to do so.  Note that later in my post I explicitly state that I hope we are planning towards that.
