He was preparing... are you saying he should have had 7 PG's on roster to prepare for losing 4 of them this season (including dennis' achilles)?

Um, yeah, he was soooo prepared that we lost to Bethune Cookman.  ::)

good article

other things to consider about our "savior"

1. huggins has personal problems (DUI)

2. also his prize recruits had lots of presonal problems "criminatti?"

3. also will he even be able to get those recruits to a non traditional Bball school like usf (do not underestimate how hard this job is, will problem #1 get exacebated?)

4. finally his teams always underpreformed while in CUSA, why would he be anything but at best a middle of the road coach in the BE (just ask UL)

my take is there is significant risk with huggins and a heavy $$$ involved  AD woolard would have no cover at all if things do not go perfectly: wins, clean program, sober huggins

Leavitt has a 100 man roster and didn't have a PG die and a PG go pro on him in addition to 1 tearing an ACL and another spraining his achilles.  Seems to me Mac had plenty of PG depth, but lost 3 out of the 3 scholarship PG's and had the next best option injured.

All were to unforseen circumstances that are not his fault.

A team without a "QB" is going to struggle, as we have seen.. especially in a game like basketball in a conference as strong as the Big East.

You can't have 8 PG's when you only have 13 players.

On top of that, his 5th PG has had a broken nose all year and a shoulder injury.

Prior to Bradley getting sick... it appeared we had all the guard depth necessary and the bigs were the main concern.  That changed way too quickly to be able to adapt to.

He"WAS" prepared, as much as he could be... but no one could be prepared for these circumstances

there is a reason he was fired from cincy, he is a big risk.  if he wasn't he would still be the head coach there.  i mean if hes sooo great and a hall of famer, why wasn't he kept at cincy?  there was a reason he was fired from there after what like 15 seasons or so.

Velcor, do you think he is prepared for next season?  meaning we're losing Solomon Jones and the only other true C we have is Frane Markusovic.  That doesn't seem very prepared to me and it WILL be the reason why we're horrible again next year.

It will be a perfect excuse for next year.

People keep bringing up this DUI thing?  Does anybody know how easy it is to get one?

You basically have to drink LESS THAN two (2) beers and you are DUI.

Do you know how easy it is to avoid getting one?

Most men would have to weigh less than 120 lbs to have a blood alcohol level of .08 from drinking 2 (12 oz) beers in an hour.

Its not just the DUI thing (although he was too intoxicated to take the breathalyzer). It is also the punks he recruits and his 0% graduation rate. But in his defense he had that all the way up to a 25% rate at the start of the 04-05 season....bravo.
