So who takes the disjointed three game series?  Does anyone really care?

It's too early to tell.  We haven't even had a 3 game weekend series yet so I don't know who will be our fourth pitcher by April.

Now that we have 3 A-Sun teams within driving distance for Tuesday night games, I wish we could make the UCF/USF game a 3 game weekend series.

If it was a 3 game consecutive series, I'd care more.  3 disjointed games is lame.

No. They're all midweek games and whoever loses will have that excuse .......... if I recall the discusssion from years' past.

When all teams in deep into their Conf Schedule (aka 3 game weekend series), teams still need at least one "midweek" game so the young "kids" can get some PT.

You will usually see young Freshmen pitchers in this series, as both teams will save their Top 3 Starters for their weekend conference series.

Not many "midweek" choices for USF and UCF...other then Stetson, BCC, UF...etc...who are within "bus" range on a weekday.

I remember wishing that Bergman would throw a Pope or Arnold or Billeck in there against USF ...just for bragging rights...especially when we had the 9th or 10th A-Sun team that weekend, but he never did and we'd lose.  UCF's strength is pitching, USFs has been hitting.  Not an excuse (because we need 4 pitchers for conference tourney and regional play anyway) but just the way it was.

Stetson could be that way this year, they're always a hitting team...though they are off to a rough start.

not me... mid week games tell you nothing... mostly just good practice time.
