The registered, productive contributors of this site shouldn't have to suffer EVER due to the innocuous crap that comes from "Guests". The registered, productive contributors of this site get enough of that from other registered contributors....   8)

It wasn't an accident that I included that word, Trip...  ;D

Guest access will be locked on signing day... we must take every precaution after the debacle 2 years ago.  Last year went pretty smoothly, for the most part.

Guest access is off right now and will likely remain through the end of signing day.

This isn't "anti-guest", it's pro-registered users.  Do you not remember two years ago when the site crashed for the entire signing day period because of constant guest viewing, refreshing, etc?

The registered, productive contributors of this site shouldn't suffer on signing day because some UCF retards with a ***** for our signing class can't stop hitting the "refresh" button and take our site down...

I remember when the site crashed two years ago on signing day. I think that was the same year that we were in the running for Cornelius Ingram. My buddy and I had been keeping up with recruiting big time that year, so instead of relying on the site, we actually looked up the phone number for the school and called every hour or so. The front office lady was so pissed at us, but finally we called and I'll never forget this, the lady (in the most redneck voice imaginable) excitedly said "Cornelius is gonna be a Gator!" My friend and I just about threw up; what a waste of talent. Anyways, your post just made me think of that story and I'm bored at work so there ya go.

It looks like guest posting may have been turned back on by Brad this morning.   Rest assured, signing day will have it off, as well as many of the "extra" features that are optional on this site.

Well I only did it because we were stil waiting to land that big QB recruit and the board was down! I would never do it again and would encourage people not to do it because it could be a big letdown. Question though Velcro, how would they ever be able to prove any connection I have to a university??

I opened guest posting on all boards then prohibited it on the main board.  Guests can still post on rest of the site for the time being...

Is it worth the risk of them making a connection?  You are posting it right here on this site... basically a big old confession.
