Running back Michael Bush will return for his senior season. A native of Louisville, Bush led the Cardinals in rushing and touchdowns, running for 1,143 yards and 23 touchdowns in nine games.Bush missed two games with a sprained right foot, which he sufferred in the third quarter against Pittsburgh. He became the first U of L running back since 1999 to run for more than 1,000 yards in a season and set school records for touchdowns and points scored in a season.The junior from Male High School led the nation in scoring, averaging 14.40 points per game. He scored at least two touchdowns in nine games before being held scoreless for the first time in the Gator Bowl loss toVirginia Tech. He ran for a career-high four touchdowns and 159 yards in a triple-overtime loss to West Virginia on Oct. 15.Bush, a first team All-Conference performer, recoroded six 100-yard games, including a career-best 204 yards against Florida Atlantic. "We're very excited about Michael's decision to return to the University of Louisville," said head coach Bobby Petrino. "He's comingoff a fantastic year, running for more than 1,000 yards and 23 touchdowns. But I think it will be alot closer than we expect. If we get an offense. We can beat them. UL is losing Dumerville.
