If the score was 17 or greater to zip then you kick the FG or less than 5 secs.  Kiking the FG w/0:25 is the cowardly thing to do.  It teaches his players that perception of minimal success is greater than actually fighting for the actually victory until the bitter end.  Leavitt did best by the players & program and be damned what others think.  I congradulate him for having testicles the size of grapefruit 'cuz thaat's what it takes to make calls like the punt fake and giving a rat's asz about a mizly FG.

I thought with less than 30 seconds, why not kick the FG and score. But like many here said, that would be giving up. The consensus seems to be keep trying to win and let the streaks handle themselves.

Not only should we have gone for it REGARDLESS, but lest we forget we missed our last FG attempt. We'd've looked like twice the fool had we given up and still remained scoreless.

they should have attempted a dropkick field goal.. anything to get pts on the board, a shutout is downright embarassing
