I've been really impressed with Pryor lately. He's such an enigma, quirky, energetic, and pretty darn skilled. He has been moving around like he's an NBA style guy.

The chemistry seems to be flowing with all the players the past two games. They seem to have started to trust each other more. I really like Placer, but Reid is just so dynamic as a floor general.

Hope they can bottle this up and keep on dominating teams!

When comparing Placer and Reid, the biggest difference offensively is that Placer is a scorer, while Reid has not developed that part of his game yet. Reid is not a scorer if he is heavily guarded or trying to take it to the hoop. Placer can create separation to score and take it to the hoop to score over bigger players.

Reid's averaging 4.6 assists per game to Placer's 1.3. That's what I like in a point guard and why AC's still one of my most favoritist Bulls ...

Reid also had 16 points last night. He blew by defenders in the lane and finished with confidence and elite skill. He's a freshman, so his game will only get stronger. I'm convinced some people are born with court vision, and Reid is showing he's one of them. Also, I think Reid played so loose last night because he had to be the man at point without thinking about Placer coming in for him.

I would not call it elite skill. They were layups that resulted in his beating his man to the basket with no other defenders around. Reid has not been able to score driving in other games when there were defenders waiting for him. Also, UAPB is a very bad team defensively.

As for assists, I would put forth that one reason for the difference in assists is that both seem to play different roles when they are on the court. For Placer, it seems to be more of a scorer; that is, pass the ball around at the top of the key and then get open for a shot. Whereas, for Reid, it seems like his role is to create shots for others but take the shot if open. That is what my eyes are seeing.

Interesting that the leading scorer (Pryor) was not one of the 2 interviewed. I think he has been more valuable in each of the last 2 games than any other player, especially defensively.

Something I noticed last night as well was that they seemed more willing to take the ball to the hoop for a higher percentage shot than to just try a 3. They still took many, but I saw quite a few times where they had an open 3 but drove to the basket instead, which seemed to rarely happen earlier in the season.

Dude, I don’t know what you’re watching. Reid is just as good or better as a player and running the offense - as a freshman - as Placer is as a fifth year guy. I have zero idea what your obsession is with that guy. Placer is a solid player, but Reid has way more upside. There’s a whole lot of Chucky Atkins in Reid’s game AND he looks like a better defender already than Chucky was.

I would. Kid is elite and his finishes at the rim reminded me of Kyrie last night. I'm no basketball newbie. I know what I'm talking about.

There is no obsession. I am just giving my opinion. Reid has elite quickness, but I have not seen an elite scorer. I agree that he can develop that over time, as I mentioned before. After 8 games, I have seen that he has struggled to score when driving and tightly guarded. Placer is skilled at that. That is what I have seen. I think I am allowed to have a different opinion, without being criticized.
