I think our run defense is the most reason we have improved a lot but I'm not sure about the passing defense especially LBs since we allowed over 400 passing yards by FAMU and Alabama have the QB/OL issues.  The Rice game will tell us more.

Orlando and Patrick made a huge difference for us! We run forward to make the tackle instead of standing and waiting for the ball runner.

While this is totally true, it seems very weird comparing FAMU to Alabama.

Just an overall better team to watch. I hate watching teams with terrible defenses. So the past years have been hard watch. This season so far It feels a lot better

I feel the same way. Defense in almost any sport is the toughest side of the ball. It requires the greatest amount of commitment energy passion, drive - all of it. Defenses are also the great equalizer. You don’t have to have all “five stars” to have an inspired, physical, aggressive defense.  We played inspired and with accountability.  It deserves much praise.  Great job D!

I love watching teams that play USF that have terrible defenses.
