usfdba - Very good, I did get my degree in Engineering Technology (class of '84).  It was a nice blend of Engineering and MIS and has served me well in my career.  Its just too bad there are not many USF graduates over here in Brevard.  I've met two graduates at Harris and one at Northrup Grumman so far.  Most of the people at Northrup Grumman are old Grumman employees from New York.  I work with a couple of dba's from Penn State, one from UCF and one Tennessee alumn.  We have a good ole time razzing each other.

There are a lot more of us than you think at Harris these days.  I know 4 or 5 in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.  One of the more positive signs I see is that many of us younger engineers seem to take far more pride in USF than the older guys.

I wanna say that Harris was one of the big co-op providers during my ETK/MIS days (88-93).  And I would think that many who did that stint woulda been invited to stay on board.  Any of you guys do this? (I might be getting my defense contractors mixed up, cuz I know there were others.)

I co-op'd with the Hills. County Clerk of Court myself.  Good times....

For you current students wanting to get some real work experience in your field, check out the co-op and intern opportunities at the Career Center.  Can't beat it!
