I didn't read, but I am sure it is a great use of space in the local rag...

I stopped caring when I saw former USF speedster. I wish him the best of luck Battie, but I don't care how how it does at Auburn under Freeze. Auburn is not on our schedule and has zero impact on USF football.

I never started reading it, but that wasn't the point.

So I guess you agree that this is probably not good material for the local paper?  Unless there are plenty of Auburn fans that #StayInTheBay?

There could be some legacy fans and alumni fans in the local area, but I would hope there are more USF fans still left in the bay area.

Another "L" from their sports reporters.  Maybe they need a new coach too.

As, at times, the board TBT/JK apologist, Joey was in Nashville covering the SEC media days and this was in the "paper" today with several other articles from his time there ....... there are plenty of SEC fans in the area.

Seems like the only time they actually cover USF players are when they are on another team.... I really don't know how they are still in business when you can find news everywhere now.

I don't generally read TBT sports articles, much less articles about former players. I haven't done a thorough analysis but, anecdotally, it seems like the TBT model is just to antagonize for clicks. And I don't think they've ever denied it.

Maybe someone somewhere wants to read about how former USF players are doing at other schools. I don't. Good luck to them and all, but I only really care about how current USF players are doing. Once they move on, they move on. (Looking forward to that Timmy McClain article next week.)

I sincerely doubt the general SEC fan cohort in Tampa cares much about a former USF RB at a (for most) rival school.

I don't see this as going "Too Far" as the thread title asks.

We lost a 2 time All American player, so it should be newsworthy about how he is doing on his new team in year 1.
