After this season, she’s apparently going to be the coach of the Tampa team in a new league called the USL. And when the league folds in a year or two, maybe we can hire her back.

Seems like a shaky move to me but I know nothing about professional female soccer leagues

Not a ton of risk for her.  I assume she'll be paid more to coach at that level and it is a new challenge.  If it falls apart, I'm sure she will be a hot commodity at the collegiate level again

That’s true.  I get too connected to people and places.  Probably have missed some good opportunities.

Congratulations to her! Hopefully, she trained up some good coaches to take the reigns. If not, im sure we can pick up a good coach.

Good for her to get paid more while she can in woman's sports.  It is zero impact on conference realignment because football matters most.

The sad truth it depends on how much money from men's professional leagues  and fifa want to donate to pay the salaries.

So - this is the interesting part.

Where she was before USF, her and her husband were co-head coaches.

At USF she was head coach, husband was assistant.

I wonder if he might be willing to stay as head coach. Since both will be in the same city, it doesn't mess up family location.
