I'd say FSU will block any and all attempts to bring USF into the ACC.

So wait...politicians allegedly forced the USF - Tinmen "rivalry".  We don't have any pressure to back down FSU on refusing any Fla school having a right to join a conference whether FSU is in it or not?

I don’t think it would be like that. I think it would be the fact that the ACC already has both FSU & Miami in it. Think one needs to leave before USF is added

There is no limit on state schools in conferences - doesn't the ACC have three or four from North Carolina?

True. Maybe USF gets invited into the ACC before any teams leave. Pretty sure their next tv deal will probably be 3rd behind SEC & Big Ten when all is said & done

No chance, FSU and Miami would not want to elevate us, they fare better being the big 3.

Yeah I do believe we need one or maybe both to leave to be honest. At that point hopefully the ACC gets Uconn to join with USF. We shall see..

Rivalries, to me, are in the eyes of the beholder. It's hard to be a rivalry if you don't play each other on a regular basis, playing for something other than stupid Internet bragging rights. It became one a decade ago. The silver lining of the dark cloud of us not moving to the B12 with them is it's not going to be one now.
