Garris, DT Antonio Searcy and FS Javan Camon have been the highlights so far, Coach Jim Leavitt said. Garris, a 6-foot-2 freshman from East Bay is working with the first-team offense, and Camon takes over the free safety spot from J.R. Reed, who's expected to be picked in next month's NFL draft. Searcy, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound junior college transfer from Dodge City (Kan.) Community College, has worked his way into the two-deep rotation at defensive tackle. Our DT's are going to be awesome this year.

He'll definitely help you remember he is roaming the middle. Thank God JR never got a redshirt or you would have never seen Javon. Javon is a pretty decent ball hawk to... he'll be alright out there. Not JR skills wise, but hitting wise, second to none. Some people will get knocked out this season.

He got penalties but they were the nastiest hits ive seen in awhile there were no punt returns after that.

It is more of a case that Andre Hall isn't here yet.
