It's not a boomer comment it is our school colors are not slime green.  You can go black jerseys with tradition usf gold and green. Do you see any of the blue blood and top tier programs going neon colors that are not school colors consistently (Bama/Osu/Michigan 3/4 playoff teams last year)? There is something to wearing your school colors consistently  and building tradition.

Those teams don't do interesting things with their unis bc the boomers from those schools would have a complete meltdown.

USF is in a position to try new things out to see what sticks since there isn't a ton of tradition. If you have a problem with the SoFlo stuff then that means you have an issue with the salute to service unis since they are not school colors either.

Slim\SoFol, black, whatever.....doesnt matter to me. Personally, I don't think they have ever perfected the right shades of green and gold, so I welcome the new looks.

Now SaluteToService Uniforms honor people that served our country and it is one game per season. The slime green they wear a lot in all sportsand slime green is not USF Colors.  I see we were beating Blue Blood programs wearing the school colors and I see nothing wrong with those uniforms. I don't think we have any major wins with the Slime green neon scheme and it was when the program started to go downhill  ironically.

One picture does not belong there. Really don't care that much about the uni colors .... although do love the black SoFlo look .... but would be cool do see some of those ****/Gulden mustard gold helmets on the field again. Whatever the players/staff decide on works for me, though.

The football team did crazy stuff early on and it was assumed that would continue without any infrastructure/support, simple as that.

Honestly, if you could play as well as they did working out of a trailer and winning games in Ray Jay then a person could argue that if it worked then.......

Lotsa misconceptions all round back in those days ......

We had good coaching and were hungry. Judy and the usf board got complacent with athletics and allowed the downward spiral to rock bottom of FBS football.

I think last year was our first year in which we didn't go all green with a gold helmet. At least I don't remember this combo. I hope Golesh makes this the standard. I do like the slime unis though.

SoFlo and the service unis were one game a season or am I not remembering correctly?

Those "gold" helmets with basically a black U have never looked quite right.

Slime Green is worn in basketball more than once. All I am saying is stick to the green and gold colors. I don't care if they shake up the uniform but keep green and gold except one game per year. I get it is all hype marketing to get people buy more merch but I just bleed green and gold not neon slime green.
