I wasn't at the game against WV so I have a question about the stats in the boxscore.  I noticed that Carlton Hill had a lot of rushes and quite a few rushing yards.  Were these mostly designed rushing plays or was he supposed to pass the ball but was impatient and took off running?  I am curious because the answer to that question will show how much maturity he really has.

99% of the plays were designed rushes. I guess thats why we set up in a rush formation 99% of the time . . . . oh you don't say . . .  well we like the challenge of rushing out of a pass formation then I guess.

Hill isn't any worse then Julmiste, why hasn't he been playing all season?

Because it is extremely rare for a true freshman to be able to read a defense well enough to be able to run a Division I offense.  Even a run-oriented one.  That's why 80% of freshmen are Redshirted.

The majority were designed runs. Contrary to what some will say, when it WAS a designed pass, he was pass-1st/run-2nd.

he was blitzed quite often and his runs on pass plays were buying time and trying to get positive yards when he was flushed from the pocket.

WVU did what they should have done, show the freshman different looks and blitz often.

Maybe he wasn't ready until lately ... hopefully he developes in the next 3 weeks.

Go BULLS !!!

15 Rushes (95% plus were designed to run it seemed)

21 Passes

Pretty good and was a good taste against a good D.
