Dusty May over a guy who’s been to a Final Four and three Sweet 16s and is still only in his mid 50s? Hmmmm

Reason I’m putting Brian Wardle in the mix is because he is a disciple of Tom Crean. He is doing well at Bradly even though they got blown out today in their conference championship game against Drake. USF ties while playing at Marquette he helped Tom Crean’s team come back from 17 pts down in the second half in front of an ESPN audience causing USF’s bubble to burst at the SunDome…

How about let's get the best coach we can convince to come to USF and let's put the training wheels back on MK.  He shouldn't be making any significant hires without input from others.  His track record of hiring and managing coaches is less than stellar to say the least.

Not for or against Crean since to be honest I had to google him. But his record in 4 years at Georgia was 47 wins 75 losses. He was subsequently fired.

Yep. The only reason we’d have any chance to hire him. He didn’t forget how to coach.

Jared Grasso, Bryant: Grasso has single handedly transformed Bryant into one of the most exciting mid-major programs in the country just years after the Bulldogs won three games in the season prior to his arrival. Bryant was fourth nationally a year ago in adjusted tempo according to KenPom.com and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. Now a member of the America East after several seasons in the NEC, the Bulldogs are again in position to again be a national story thanks to an elite transfer class, headlined by former Top-50 recruit Earl Timberlake.

Dana Ford, Missouri State: Just 38 years young, Ford is already entering his ninth season as a Division 1 head coach. He’s quietly posted a 40-18 record over the past two seasons with an impressive 25-11 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play. If Ford ever broke through and reached the NCAA Tournament, he’d quickly be on the short list for openings at the power conference level.

Jeff Boals, Ohio: Boals led the Bobcats to an NCAA Tournament win over Virginia two years ago and then lost Jason Preston to the NBA. He responded with a 25-win season. While Boals lost his two best players — Mark Sears (Alabama) and Ben Vander Plas (Virginia) — to the transfer portal following last year, he’s too good of a coach to not keep Ohio right in the thick of things in the MAC.

Jonas Hayes, Georgia State: Hayes hasn’t coached a game yet at Georgia State, but showed major promise last spring when he led Xavier to a Postseason NIT title as the team’s interim head coach. A former player at Georgia, Hayes is likeable, genuine, and extremely capable as both a coach and recruiter. This a potential star to monitor in the college coaching industry.

Chris Capko was promoted to Associate Head Coach for the USC men’s basketball program by head coach Andy Enfield on Aug. 30, 2021, after serving as an assistant coach since April 22, 2016.

Richie Riley-Widely talked about as one of the highest regarded up-and-coming head coaches in Division 1 Men's Basketball, Richie Riley was recently ranked 16th on ESPN.com’s “40 Under 40” list and a finalist for the Ben Jobe Award, presented annually to the top NCAA Division I minority coach by CollegeInsider.com. Known as an elite program builder and high level recruiter, especially in the transfer portal, Richie Riley's South Alabama Jaguars have had a top rated recruiting class all three of his years

Bob RicheyDuring his time at the helm of the program, Richey has guided the Paladins to an 111-46 overall record and 63-24 mark in Southern Conference play. The Paladins posted back-to-back 25-win seasons in 2019 and 2020 and claimed four straight 20-win seasons for the first time in school history. His .707 winning percentage ranks in the top 10 among active Division I head coaches.

I am all for this. It’s time to start holding MK accountable for these horrid coaching decisions.

I guess I’m the only guy interested in the coach who’s won more than 400 games, been to nine NCAA Tournaments, a Final Four, three Sweet Sixteens, four NITs - and is only 56 years old. Call me crazy. Yep, he had a weak tenure at UGA, but maybe it was just a bad fit. Anyway, I’d bet on BG being back next season, so it’s really not worth the effort.

Don’t think many remember his Marquette coaching days….

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
