I know we have a big game this weekend and trust me I'm excited,  I have friends coming in, partying hard in South Tampa, golfing at the Claw on Saturday morning, tailgating in the afternoon and go sit with the enemy at RayJay, where my season tickets are at BUT  ....

I open up CBS sportsline and the first thing I see is Gator Basketball!!! When are we going to surpass that wannabee basketball school up North who is not even in a real Basketball conference? I'm just tired of waiting for things to turn around. These next years we should win EVERY recruiting battle with UF due to our conference affiliation. Someone asked before wether basketball or football was followed more, my answer, while yes we live in a football state, it was basketball that got things rolling. And at least when I was student, which wasn't THAT long ago, the sun dome got packed for the Dodge Shoot out which brought out in good teams, kinda  of like Michigan this year. Sorry about the rant but I hate those **** Gators!

Ya...it's gonna be awhile before we pass Florida, we can't even beat FIU. That being said, I think we'll get a decent recruiting class this year.

Despite our horrid luck lately, i still see things moving in the right direction...  I have faith in Mac's coaching ability and see that he is getting some very good recruits already.  Yes it would have been nice to have MORE good recruits already, that didnt' happen, but the ones we have gotten have been very good, and i see that trend continuing.  Just have to have faith, show up for the games, and pull for your team.  We are short manned this year, so that makes the crowd that much more important.  We need to give our guys the extra energy that they need to get through a long and grueling game.

Velcro... give me some of the drugs your on... it will help me get over the fact the WVU game is only on the **** radio cast. What is up with that BS anyways? Playing WVU and we can't get televised. WTF! Hoops... why even try figuring that  mess out.

Curious.....but what recruits are we talking about?

Rob Thomas is not coming...

The big 6'11" kid from NY is likely going to prep school route. If he can get his academics in shape and picks up his intensity then likely open up his recruiting again.

Dante Curry is the only real prospect that we can be excited about for next year, however the way the CRM runs off players he may not last a month. Okay that is probably not fair but can you blame a diehard Bulls fan for feeling this way?

There is no excuse for not having a full roster. None. Zero. Zilch.

CRM is not making any excuses so neither should our fans.

My last 2 cents for the night before i have to go midgett stripping  ;D ...

I don't see how this program cannot get to the same level as UF in the next 5 or even 4 years, or less,  for the following reasons:

First and foremost our conference affiliation, these kids know that playing ball in the Northeast is the equivelant of playing football in the South. Ask a basketball recruit if he wants to play in Tuscalossa Alabama or Syracuse New York, Baton Rouge Louisiana or Storrs Connecticut?

Second, facilities, yeah UF does have the upper hand on this but I seriously doubt ours are in such bad shape. I'm sure we use part of the new Athletic Center for basketball and that's brand new. And despite the complaints of the Sun Dome, it's still an above average venue. I don't want to open a whole new topic on the Sun Dome because this isn't about the Sun Dome, besides it's getting a nice little tummy tuck.

Finally, If women's basketball can do it, why can't the guys? I'm ignorant to women's basketball so I don't know what they are doing but, they are succeeding in the same environment, why can't the guys?

Go Bulls Kick some WVU ASS!!

GREEEEEEEEEEN!

Actually the Sun Dome is almost exactly the same as the O'dome the difference being the environment is a lil more involved (because they have 12,000 fans as compared to our 4-5,000). I know UF just built a new practice facility a few years ago, I haven't seen ours.

I think the Big East hurts actually, it is going to be very hard to win with all those great teams in the league. I am not saying it isn't possible, but it is going to be tough to establish a competitive team. Look at FSU although they have had good teams in the hpast and they have had decent recruits they still aren't good enough to make the tourny in the ACC. I see a similar situation here.

Finally money, UF is so successful because their athletic department is one of the richest in the country. It's rare that you see a school have teams ranked constantly in almost all sports; Texas, UF, Michigan, Ohio State, to a lesser extent FSU.

I think the AD is focusing on the number 1 moneymaker for an athletics department which is football.

Umm.. lets see...

Collin Dennis was a great find.

James Holmes is starting to turn into a very solid player

Solomon Jones, while not quite as tough as he needs to be, still was a good pickup considering our need for height.

Bradley Mosley, need i say more?

Chris Howard... although we, the fans, haven't seen him play, those that have know this kid is every bit as good as billed and then a world more.

McHugh Mattis... if he can keep playing how he is against the better competition, he's going to turn out to be one of the best athletes we've ever had on the floor.  He's a true slasher that can play great defense and knows how to rebound.

Dante Curry... Cyber already mentioned him...

Franklin Jones/Rob Thomas... don't count them out yet.

Zaronn Cann... this kid was a lock for McDonalds All American before his injury.  He has the potential to be great.. but he needs to heal up.

The outlook this season might not be bright... but the future is... and i don't care if you guys think i'm on some type of drugs...  It'll just be that much sweeter when i get to rub our success in your face.  Its much more fun than saying I told you so if it doesn't work out.

FIU 69 USF 64... Tell me again about the superstars on our roster? The proof is in the pudding Velcro... I like your spirit... your tenacity... but this would be the same as me saying the reverse throwback was a great play. When will you join the Dark side Velcro The Hutt?
