Agree he has been coaching much longer, has had more success , and at multiple stops. Dabo has had a remarkable run is arguably the second best coach in college football right now after Saban. I just am wondering why almost all of his assistants that become have failed and Saban seems to have coaches more prepared to lead a program.

Maybe they take over programs like USF

Potentially. Not sure though Frost, Heupel, Fickell, Morris ( clemson tree) , and Herman had no problem winning in the AAC because they could actually outcoach and recruit the other coaches. Good coaching leads to winning. Not trying to talk more about Scott but he failed because of Jeff Scott. It is harder to win and turn around  a power 5 program then  g5 / AAC program.

You're forgetting the curse.

Im thinking he is referring to the RJS curse which will eventually be gone when USF opens up their OCS.

There are no curses; just bad decisions by those in power. Whether it was Judy deciding to fire coach Leavitt and to not invest in football facilities thinking we had arrived since we were in the Big East; or our athletic directors when they hired Coach Strong, and Coach Scott.

But this is now the past, and we need to focus on the future. If we fail it will not be because of Judy or Coach Scott; it will be because of the decisions of our current administration.

Exactly! USF football is an easy fix. Now the men’s USF basketball is another story

Chad Morris, off the Swinney tree, had a 14-22 career mark at SMU.  His best season was 7-5.

As I said he had limited success by year 3 he built a winning program and left it in better shape then when we took over.

No, it is the on campus curse. Last time the men made the NCAA tournament we played off campus. As for the football team, I really don't have an explanation other than we did win when Tags was here so can't say there is a curse on football.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
