All this would be easier if you (and others) had just come to the realization - years ago - that Jim Leavitt is never going to work at USF again. That is so obvious; I can’t understand why people won’t accept it as fact. You don’t have to like it, but stop beating your head against the wall about it.

Clearly a few of us (you certainly) have more insight than most.  If it is the admin saying "no" that's just stupid.  If it is Leavitt not wanting to come back...well, yeah that's something for sure.

Obviously there's no beating my head against the wall.  I simply (like a lot of others) don't care.  We are apathetic.  I was cheering for my daughters team over USF the other night.  I like Malzahn, their brand of football and what they've accomplished.  I'd like to see USF take positive steps but, to me, the only way to do that at this juncture was Prime or Leavitt.  Prime may not have been reality but he would have injected life into this bloated pig.  Leavitt would have just done Leavitt things to pull this team out of the ashes.

This Tennessee coach is just another mistake to put on the timeline of constant mistakes.

Now the fanbase can beat their head against the wall on no FCS wins, no OCS, a **** conference and a tradition of being in the basement.

it's not an investment.

our program is financially strapped. we always have been. budget constraints limit what we can do.

don't complain about something if you aren't part of the solution.

Myself and the other donor/supporters will do all the heavy lifting for you.

perhaps you should change your screen name to "USFreak when others help put a winning product on the field for me"

You don't think we are financially strapped because of habitual bad decision making?

USFreak is a holdover.  That Freak is dead.  Now he is just here to provide commentary on what he sees as asanine decision making.

Lastly, would UCF (another directional school) be hamstrung by the same "budget constraints".

I'm looking at you Big12 invite, OCS, Conference Championships, BCS appearances (and wins) and Top 25 rankings.

Good decision making yields results.  What we've done?  Stubbed our toe on every big decision.

that's the definition of fair weather. I'm sure you'll be back when we're winning the AAC and going to playoff games. Of course you'll tell us all what great fans you are and that you didn't just jump on the bandwagon.

If we are still in the AAC I'll never be back.  Tuning on ESPN and cracking a beer isn't tough.  But nobody is buying a season ticket while we are in the AAC.

You all missed guys named Flowers, Mack, Adams, Johnson, Wilcox. Pretty good players who won a lot of games.

Watched a few.  Knew it was short-lived so didn't get too excited.  That's the thing...with our decision making we aren't building a program.  We are building a "year."

We've talked forever about how USF is in a football "hotbed" of talent.  We haven't won a FCS game in 3 years?  We've never competed for an AAC....AAC championship?

Why, because I'm spitting truth?

I'm not that into UCF but certainly I like visiting the campus, their gameday experience and their success was no accident.

But no, I own no UCF gear outside of a coffee mug.

If that happens the Eagles will have gotten back together.

We know that though.  They made investments that we laughed at (not me) and now they are making bank.  They also hit on their coaching hires, and won their big games.  We haven't done that since ND.
