USF vs South Florida

Anyone else sick of the South Florida branding? I believe it transitioned under Charlie Strong and we have lost ever since. Let’s take a poll.

I don't like it.  Should have been left alone as USF.  Why was this branding changed.  Bad idea.

It was South florida long before it was ever USF.

South Florida has personality.

USF is San Fran and  Sioux Falls, not singular identity.  A series of letters is not a name.  People don't call me BRM.  They call me Brad and I deal with it.  

If we can't handle what we are, the University of South Florida, I'd suggest changing the name of the univerisity.

You know as well as I do that nearly every college and university in the country goes by their initials.  OK maybe not every, but a lot.  Either that or they go by their state such as Michigan, Oklahoma, etc.  There is no state of South Florida.  

Don't care that San Francisco and Sioux Falls also go by USF.  We don't intersect with them very often, if at all.

Not on my betting or CBS Sports app, quite opposite.  

Have an identity, don't follow Central Florida's lead.

I’m following USC’s lead. They don’t go by Southern California and they have the same initials as South Carolina.

I am all USF.  It can't be stopped.

They go by Southern Cal in southern Cal.  I hear it all the time.  California also goes by Cal not UCB, Miami not UM, Florida not UF or FU.  As they say in the casino ads out here, "you do you".  There doesn't have to be only one name for the intitution or program or team.  Use what makes you want to attend games.

The SMU announcers mixed up USF and UCF so that is all I need to hear to go with South Florida
