Yup! I know how. Just bring back Leavitt and we immediately become a bowl team starting next season

Obviously we would be in the National Championship game and brought into the SEC right after the announcement.

If she is responsible for the football team, then she is responsible for making us a Pre-eminent university on the cusp of AAU status.  I will take that over a fake National Title any day.

Judy Genshaft used to say privately that only 2 things brought down a university president... docs and jocks. She was absolutely protecting her own job from scrutiny by firing Leavitt. Why else would USF pay the former FBI director to investigate? Insulating JG from any blame. She played the situation well for herself... less well for USF Athletics.

Not buying it. I guess Stan was a threat, too. JG was secure enough here she didn’t have to worry about jocks. I think She wanted to get Athletics up like Academics but was sorely mistaken on how to go it.

That quote floated around quite a bit back then.

I looked into my evidence folder, here is what @FazaUSF was referring to.  This came from the investigation notes and was published in the Tampa paper.

Quote

-- In an interview with Glen Besterfield, USF's associate dean for undergraduate studies, who was not in the locker room during the halftime in question, he tells investigators about a conversation with USF President Judy Genshaft. "I remember Judy saying that only thing that can take down a prez is 'docs & jocks'" the notes read.

Where' there's smoke, conceal it!  Unnerving.

Mr. Besterfield might have been a little suspicious of the situation, may have known a little more...we'll never know.

But if she did say that, do we know what she meant?

We can’t read her mind, but we can use ours.
