Good.

It was true that we beat the spread but that did mean that we weren't blown out IMO.

I wouldn't call that a blowout either. I'm sure that everybody has their own criteria and would be an interesting discussion at some point ............

I feel that if the 2nd stringers come in, it's a blowout.

Could be one criteria, but how many, both sides of the ball, both teams, at what point in game, etc....? Lot of possible different ways to quantify and have to track.

Not if the spread met the definition of a blowout. Thus we need to define a blowout to properly analyze the ineptitude of this coaching staff.

That's a good point, too ........ This is pretty complex.

Anything 17 points and over? That requires 2 TDs and another score of some kind. Maybe there is a formula of "If you had x more minutes, could the team come back?" We will do our combined dissertation on blowouts in college football. 🤔

If the game's tied going into the 4th quarter and one team scores 17 after that, I'd have a hard time calling it a blow out. If a team is down by 28 in the first half and end up losing by only 17, I think I'd classify that as a blowout ........ It's an intriguing subject with lots of moving parts.

When I coached basketball, I always defined a blowout as occuring when the other coach takes a seat and just observes.  Sort of like Greenberg in the Dog and Tree blowout to Marquette.  Sit back and let it go.

I like Seth, but he's in a better sutied role now.

I used to go to the Green and Gold room for the postgame talk and Seth once said after a win "you never stop coaching, even in the final moments, when you're up".  Then we get blown out and Seth spends the last ten-twelve minutes sitting in his chair watching the clock work it's way down.  In the Green and Gold room I asked "why did you stop coaching"?   I got the best death stare ever.  Still chills me today.
