It seems pretty straightforward. Classes are canceled. Tampa is right in the cone. Am I right to assume there's a 90%+ chance this game does NOT happen, at least not on Saturday in Tampa?

Still time for this thing to shift again so maybe not 90%, but over 50%, IMO ...

It will be interesting because it shifted more to the north, so I am curious if that keeps up or not.  Of course they are always susceptible to wild last second shifts.

There was that wild one years ago that weaved like a drunken sailor before coming in down in the Ft Myers area ....

Give Mike's Weather Page a follow on twitter.  He is USF Alum.

I got the image from Mike's Weather Page on Facebook... but I think he got it from the NHC.

That is where I am.

USF has not provided an update today -- they are likely waiting until the 11:00am track guidance from the NHC.  The GFS and EURO models currently show the storm 'pausing' offshore of Tampa for most of Thursday... and moving past on Friday... but that could still change.

(NHC does official tracks every 6 hours at 5:00 and 11:00 am and pm)

Charlie.

It was forecast to hit Tampa Bay directly, but then wobbled right when the storm started interacting with the peninsula.

If that same "wobble right" happens ... it could shift from Cedar Key to Tampa Bay.

This maybe a little out of character but I couldn’t care less if the game is cancelled and just hoping you guys don’t have to suffer through a Hurricane.  Remember Andrew, Wilma, Charlie etc… the power outages, looting, trying to get property repaired in the chaos absolutely sucks.  As long as you guys dodge the bullet, they can cancel the game and I would still be happy.  Good luck everyone!
