Outlaw keeps trying to but, as Jim said, my focus has been the big drop in attendance from 2009 to 2010.

To be fair, some of that is attributed to the coaching change... some is also clearly due to the far weaker home schedule in 2010...

  • 2009: Wofford, Charleston Southern, #8 Cincinnati, #20 West Virginia, Louisville, #19 Miami
  • 2010: Stony Brook, Western Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, Syracuse, Rutgers, Pitt & U Conn

And let's not forget 2009 USF started 5-0, with three road wins including the 17-7 win at #18 Florida State, which drove attendance for the last four home games of the year.

Blaming all of the downturn in attendance solely on the coaching change is a bit disingenuous.   It played a part for sure, but the 2010 home slate and the 2009 8-5 record, and going 2-5 to end the regular season also played a part.
