Correct... the defenders were out of position, the DB took a bad angle... and their wide receiver who ran that jet sweep is the fastest player on their team.

That said, those mistakes SHOULD BE correctable.  You might think we shouldn't need correction, but part of tackling is being in the right position to get the right leverage... arm tackling isn't going to bring down many RBs or WRs.

Shoop was caught by surprise on the jet sweep and many other plays, and could not get the defensive adjustments made in time.  One WR screen happened when USF had one defender on the right side and BYU had two WRs, because the second defender was still getting into position.  Again, this is something that SHOULD be correctable.

But he wasn't playing because of the injury... if he wasn't hurt, he would have been playing.
