I thought there was a promise to upgrade it if/when the call up happens.  I am sick of rooting for ATL...

Houston's XFL team will play in their OCS so theres a precedent. The Vipers renting out a 40k stadium in their own color may make more sense than paying rent on a 67k Ray Jay.

Currently the only other stadium within 20k capacity of 40k in the area is Tropicana. So we may get some concerts from artists thinking Amalie is too small and Ray Jay is too big.

This assumes the Tampa Vipers will still exist when the XFL returns. I've read that there are no guarantees the original host cities will have teams when the league re-launches. I've also read that the XFL was exploring moving the Vipers to Orlando before the league folded and that The Rock and his team are following through on that relocation.
