The NCAA announced rule changes for college football Thursday morning that will take effect in 2022.

One of the rules that is interesting deals with targeting in the 2nd half of the game. The new rule will allow the team to appeal to the ncaa if a player is ejected for targeting in the 2nd half and have the penalty of sitting out the 1st half of the next game be overruled if the ncaa rules official deems it should not have been a penalty to begin with. Another rule deals with chop blocking

So, the NCAA in all of its wisdom has created a rule, that can use VAR to REVERSE a penalty that was REVIEWED and CONFIRMED with VAR during the game that lead to an ejection of a player, directly EFFECTING the outcome of said game? 🤔 Maybe, the NCAA should NOT have created the original rule, if a new rule was created to fix issues with said rule. Sounds like they should just amend the original rule or eliminate all together.

Sounds like the NCAA is run by the board of a condo association.  You can't remove a rule, only add exceptions and complexities.
