I'm pretty sure if USF is going all in on LAX (why?), then they'll build something like this or a cheaper version of it. Playing women's LAX in a 25-30k football OCS would look terrible. Kinda like us playing at RayJay right now. Friends and family of the players, the coaches, and a couple of homeless people who got confused and wandered in would be the crowd we'd pull.

If we build a lacrosse stadium before a football stadium,  I am going to commit seppuku.

Why wouldn't Corbett be perfect for lacrosse?  Makes no sense to not use it.

My guess is funding for a football OCS requires building an OCS for a women's team, an "equity" thing.  Maybe having them attached and so on....seems odd that while facing financial uncertainty as the conference changes we add more scholarships and expenses.  It's the beauty (or pain) of public institutions I guess.

Ain't nobody got time for 4 dimensional chess or whatever USF is trying to pull off. We just need that (Football) OCS! 

We should be getting that B12 invite within the next 15 days, apparently. So, at least there's that.  Maybe the lack of a women's LAX stadium is actually what was holding us up.

Now that you mention it, it may be a clever way to work the system.  Now that we are adding women's lacrosse, we go to the state or feds or whoever and say we are building a "dual purpose stadium for both men's and women's sports."  I'm all for it if it is a way to work the system for public money somehow.
