This is really tough to do with an almost completely revamped roster. Just looking at the schedule and trying to gauge this team based upon the competition it will face, I see a 7-4 non-conference record and 8-10 AAC record with a final regular season mark of 15-14. Enough to buy Gregory one more year, but not enough to quench the thirst for success of our fanbase.

History suggests that we will have to be better than 17 wins to sniff the NIT Bubble. I am thinking 19 wins minimum for consideration. Assuming the AAC lands 3 teams into the tournament field, that would mean competing with UCF, SMU, and Cincy for what would likely be 2 bids to the NIT for AAC teams.

19 wins if we're lucky but since when have we had luck on our side or the ball bounce our way ,if you will? So I think with that being said I'm in agreement with NewEnglandBull  at 14 wins . Then the search for a new coach begins...Again 🤐

You bring up a good point about BG…I wonder if MK pulls the trigger? One would think he would like to since he is huge basketball guy.

I would hope so . With MK's love for basketball I would assume he already has a list waiting of coaches he will go after . If BG doesn't produce this year I think that his time has expired .  I truly hope that he somehow comes through as I don't relish the thought of starting over and over and over.......

I am with you… regardless of all the circumstances that BG had to deal with, he has had more than enough time. It would be time for a fresh start.
