To be fair, thats pretty much what it was before the SWC and Big 8 merged into the Big XII, minus Oklahoma.

I thought that was kinda the joke. He put most of the conferences back where they were when CFB was good.

Cat941 Posted March 9 Group: Member Topic Count: 77 Content Count: 2,961 Reputation: 808 Days Won: 2 Joined: 07/28/2023 Share Posted March 9 Conference expansion: What ACC programs could be Big Ten targets? RUTGERSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Ranking the top five targets for the Big Ten to consider in college expansion. https://rutgerswire.usatoday.com/lists/college-football-expansion-what-acc-programs-are-most-likely-to-make-a-move-to-the-big-ten-next/ No. 1 Miami has everything the Big Ten wants in conference expansion Analysis: Market size? Top 20 in the nation. AAU membership? Got that done last year. Football? Tough to find a more successful program in the past three decades. National following? Huge. Big-time brand. And men’s basketball had a monster year last season. Miami can’t compete nationally without better funding, and it can’t get that funding with the current ACC deal. Make no mistake about it: If the Big Ten came calling, Miami would be on the phone with their lawyers moments later. Given what they bring in football and basketball, Miami makes sense. Getting into Florida would be huge for the Big Ten and a big-time coup in the race for television markets.

Cat941 Posted March 10 Group: Member Topic Count: 77 Content Count: 2,961 Reputation: 808 Days Won: 2 Joined: 07/28/2023 Share Posted March 10 (edited) Goes on to say: Florida State, Notre Dame, UVA, UNC all will find themselves within the P2 as a very strong possibility as all four are wanted. Clemson and Miami are also schools with possible moves to the P2, with Virginia Tech less, GA Tech, and Pitt less so.
