Good point. RJS also makes the attendance look worse than it is. I'm hoping that in addition to actually increasing attendance, the OCS also makes lower attendance look less obvious.

Bench seats always helps with that.

if you have 4 chairs with 2 fans and 2 empty, it looks 50% full.

If you have a section of bench that seats 4 people, and 2 people are on it, and spread out, it looks 75% full.

That is why I hate when people compare us to UCF by photos, the rigid structure of individual chairs shows empty seats more than benches.

My idea has us being independent and playing 11-12 away games a season against power 5 teams. Maybe 1 fcs at home. We'd get payouts for one and dones and get more exposure, despite being the ncaa version of the Washington generals.

Yes I agree. Plus USF is in a much better location than UMASS regarding football. Many big name schools (I won’t use power schools now since conferences will probably end up being extinct) will want to travel to USF to help with recruiting and vacations.

I’m pretty sure you are required to have 5 home games a year (one of which can be a neutral site) so we would need at least 4 home games

That would be easy to get given USF’s location. Recruiting hot bed. That is something that no matter how bad USF does on the field that they can’t mess up lol. Looking at the future many years from now we will probably see P2 and all the rest of schools go independent and schedule each other.

True. But I hope the OCS has green and gold seats, not benches!

I think we have been told most will be benches, just the club seats. But I don't have a link to share, just my memory.

And - dark green seats. Bright seats show bad on tv when empty. Look at the Miami Heat games, they look bad on tv, because the lower seats are bright yellow.

More of this 30k plus in attendance nonsense? Giving out tickets is not attendance no matter how much you want it to be.

That's not even taking into consideration club access and suites.

It's using the same measuring stick that all programs use no matter how much you don't want it to be .... and Shirley you're not naive enough to think that other programs don't give away tickets, also.
