The potential to have more earnings was there based on subscriptions being sold.  Much uncertainty for revenue and lacking traditional tv broadcasts.  Didn't want to be on streaming platforms.  I understand.

I thought we should have added APP State, Coastal, Troy, JMU, and Liberty over Rice, NT, FAU, and Charlotte.

We basically are there already we just call it g5. The power tv deals and nil money is virtually impossible to compete against if the goal is to get a national championship ever.

The AAC contract will likely be reworked as teams leave or as ESPN keeps cutting costs.   Will we be making less anyway?

I would predict slightly more , but all that really matters is we have to beat the teams on our schedule and in our division a lot more than the last five years.

What other east coast teams besides App State would make our conference better.

In my opinion on the other hand  being in a conference with teams like Boise State, San Diego State, Fresno State, Oregon State, and Washington State would greatly improve our situation.

App State, Liberty, Troy, JMU and Coastal were all better Rice, NT, Charlotte, and FAU.
