I think bringing Houston in would further dilute recruiting from the Houston area for the rest of the teams. I think if this happens, those Big 12 teams need to begin to tap into the Florida recruiting base and the best way to do that is add teams where the kids can play in front of their family a couple of times a year. Something tells me if the Big12 misses out again on the Playoff they're going to pack their toys up and go home. There's still plenty of games to play but a conference championship wouldn't save them this year in its current structure. They already believe any candidate would either dilute the conference or hurt blue blood recruiting so I strongly doubt they want to bring in a program that will actually compete right away. I'm thinking when does the AAC start scheduling interviews with potential Big 12 schools. Right now Oklahoma and Texas are the front runners but Texas Tech is a dark horse. West Virginia? No way. Not with their academics.

If us being the fourth best program in Florida is a huge knock on us, what it number is Houston? UT T A&M TCU Baylor Texas Tech

We all know programs do not go on expert rankings. Houston is a solid 6.
