Nope, UF doesn't own either market. They have penetrated the market but own neither of them.

Orlando and Tampa are not owned by one team. I guess you're not a big television watcher.. Publix clearly dominates tht Tampa and Whorelando markets.

That's why they claim Houston needs to be added to the Big XII. Where as in Florida UF doesn't own either the Tampa or Orlando markets. They have market penetration but, do not own the market. So if A&M already own the Houston market, why add Houston. They could add USF for the Tampa Market (#11 Nationally) and get greater value then adding Houston. The SEC can't/won't add another Florida school: Quote In the last round of expansion four SEC schools, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Kentucky had a pact, or gentleman’s agreement, that in the event of expansion they wouldn’t support a second school inside their state’s borders. That is, all four schools would agree to vote against Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, or Louisville ever joining the SEC.

I merely responded to the post about the article in which Houston was pushed as a possible target.

They should be able to recruit well enough how it is without having to add another school from that state. I really don't understand why they wouldn't take advantage of the Florida market Edited August 23, 2016 by OcalaBull2
