Notre Dame will play three Big East opponents per season starting in 2011. The longtime football independent, a Big East member in most other sports, agreed to the deal after being approached by league officials, senior associate athletic director John Heisler said. Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese said the conference made the request after Boston College, Miami and Virginia Tech withdrew from the Big East to join the Atlantic Coast Conference.

They will not play USF and I stop just short of saying "never".

Why not?  They have a lot of money (donors) in Florida who would love to see their team play at RJS, and they want to recruit in Florida.  I would think we would be one of their top choices.

Agreed. I don't think they'll want to play us any time soon, but depending on our successes in the next few years, I'd heavily hesitate to say never.

IF they do play us, I would put all earning I make over the next 15 years on it NOT being a Home game for us...

ND said 2 years ago that they were going to dummy down their schedule, obviously this is the 1st step.

I forsee games with Cuse and Pitt being annual home and homes(they do play this year) and ND having 1 more Big East game at their place.

Guest S.  Bien

Did you know that three very prominant CEO's who make their residence in Tampa are also influential alum at Notre Dame.

ND's visited us to play baseball, women's hoops, and softball why suddenly are we taboo?

I know it's not something they would clamor to do, and knowing ND it would be a circumstance where they would play us at RayJay providing they were the home team, but it's not out of the question.  Notre Dame would be 20k fans to the stands, and every guy that ever thought he was a USF fan, to the game and an instant sellout at RayJay.  Mark it down.  Our attendance doesn't bother them as much as having a reason to play the game.

They like two types of games- 1. games they believe they should win; 2. games that bring national appeal.   I think the only thing holding up a potential for us to play is public perceptions.  Should USF go on a 3 year tear winning big, going to BCS bowls, and putting 45k+ in the stands then Notre Dame would play us.

Rutgers, **** ND has visited Temple!

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
