You know, RS is now an experienced BCS conference offensive coordinator.  I remember when people around the Bay area were blasting Rich McKay of the Bucs saying we needed a real football man who had experience, and that Rich was unsuited and in way over his head.  Well, he was a very large part in bringing the Bucs a championship and now he is regarded as one of the best GMs in the business.

Every OC is new on their first job.  Let's give Rod a chance and see how he can adapt over the season.  Are you guys still going to ***** even if we win the Big East?

As for nicknames, I say "Scooter", just because.

I have no problem hiring someone with no experience at the BCS level but to hire someone with no experience at the college level?? He was an OC for one year at a high school 8 years ago. It looks that way too when he panics and goes away from the gameplan when we are only down by 7 with a half to play.

Why can't we find someone at any level of college who has any experience? RS needs to learn on the job at the D3 level not BCS level. I have a feeling he is just a lackey for CJL and that may not be a good thing. CJL is a great D coach but that usually means they have no idea how to run an offense.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
