Something has to change with the Oline. I don’t have confidence they will though as they think they had a good game against sc state. No running back over 70 yards in a game this year. Putrid. I see linemen blocking the same guy and forgetting their assignments. We need to zone block

They are trying to zone block...the new blocking scheme is part of the problem

Please go back and watch the high lite of Mc Cloud to a Ford pass TD . Watch the right guard pat the rusher on the behind while Cecil actually mauls him to the. Side. Throw a chip block for darns sake.

I think they have something with Atterbury at guard in the run game. He’s agile enough to play tackle, but his technique is awful, so putting him in at guard and run mining plays where he pulls seem to work. The play where Ford broke the TD, they pulled Atterbry and opened a gaping hole. It was as a thing of beauty. Whatever scheme that was, do more of that.

And I say that because the line isn’t getting it yet.

I have watched numerous plays where two linemen are blocking one guy and letting the other defender get free release

I hope you are right, tired of losing to teams that give less of a shat about their team than we do about our team, pivotal game that either puts us back in play or looking for another coach.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
