 Eight Bulls Get Set for Summer Ball
Covering four teams and four states, eight Bulls will continue playing over the next two months

 

TAMPA, May 30, 2019 – Eight members of the USF baseball team will be competing in various collegiate summer ball leagues until August.  

 Covering three leagues and four teams from four different states, the Bulls competing will get a chance to hone their skills prior to returning to campus for the fall.

Alex Bello – Danbury Westerners – New England Collegiate Baseball League
Jake Sullivan – Savannah Bananas – Coastal Plain League
Julio Cortez – Amsterdam Mohawks – Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League
Dylan Buck – Amsterdam Mohawks – Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League
Nick Gonzalez – Peninsula Pilots – Coastal Plain League
Danny Gutcher – Peninsula Pilots – Coastal Plain League
Brandon Schrepf – Peninsula Pilots – Coastal Plain League
Riley Hogan – Peninsula Pilots – Coastal Plain League

Summer Ball Nota-Bulls

• Sullivan played for the Bananas in the summer of 2018 and hit .336 with 25 RBI and 22 runs.
• The Pilots and Bananas begin their seasons Thursday, playing games into August.
• The Mohawks also begin the year Thursday and have regular-season games running through July.
• The Westerners open the summer slate on June 5 and compete into August.
