Need to keep it close in the first quarter, so our fans will be in the game, making it a tough place for Brohm to succeed.  He's a good passer, but if we can pressure him, he'll make mistakes.  I think the Bulls D will keep it close all game.  We might give up some points, but hopefully drives will stop and they'll get FGs instead of TDs.  If this happens, we have a chance.

Exactly!!!! Obviously the game is decided on the field and we need to be near perfect in all 3 areas of the game, but lets not discount the 12th man.

Going back to some discussions in other posts from earlier this week regarding crowd noise, WE must be in this game from before the opening kick-off.

This is not a game to be sitting down when we are on defense. Every week, if there are 2 times a game that the entire stadium is on their feet its a lot. That cannot be the case this week. If we want our defense to be creative and come with disguised blitzes and whatnot, we must be a factor in that by making it difficult for Brohm to make adjustments and change calls at the line.

You always hear opposing teams talk about how hard it is to play in particular stadiums because of the crowd noise and "hostile environment". This is a game where we need to make RayJay the hostile environment for the boys wearing red and white.

Lousiville only has one "big" defensive lineman, Okoye, who tops 300 lbs.

You better re-check the UL roster.

Starting defensive tackles Okoye 318, Stanley 322.  UL's O-line and D-line are not undersized to any in the nation.

12th Man? Come on. We're talking about USF here.

I think if there is any hope for a Win we're going to have to score some points on defense and shorten the field.

I agree we aren't there yet, but the 2003 L'ville game got loud.  Every bit helps.

I'm not saying its going to sound like Neyland Stadium or the Big House, but when you have between 40,000 and 50,000 people in a stadium it has the potential to be loud and disruptive when its not only 10,000-15,000 of those people making noise

our offense

we need to run the ball

and make no turnovers to keep game close

to shorten game

stop the pass and force louisville to RUN

blitz often form different looks

this game is winnable as long as pj  and boys make NO mistakes

w eneed to play our best  game in years

it is possible

could it be ...OPTIMISM from smazza!

OSU avgs 67 yds rushing in playing Boise,UL and 1AA Potland st.

Kentucky avgs 89 yds rushing in playing UL,Indiana and 1AA Idaho St.

Those two teams have failed to crack 100 yds rushing in any of their games.

So USF has a shot to establish a rushing game vs UL,they have not faced a decent rushing team yet.
