Wow, some real nice runs by Ponton...made me feel better about life after Andre.

Simpson didn't get as many grabs and they were late in the game.  As a freshman, he'll get chances on down the road.

Ponton got to run against the UCF first team in the first quarter and had his way pretty much.  As a redshirt freshman, Ponton has a lot of time to develop and hopefully become a strong candidate for the feature back when Andre is playing on Sundays.

The kid has VISION. There were a couple creases, not holes, that he somehow slipped through.

I dont think we'll miss a beat without Andre.

dude..for real. I was VERY impressed. Was also happy with PJ's performance. Nothing wonderful, but he didn't do anything awful either.

I was heart broken after Penn State...but I'm $#% excited to see how we fair against UL!!!

Ponton is the real deal and Chad Simpson is right there with him! We ran for over 300 yds on a defense that only gave up 32 yards on 28 carries to South Carolina ... Feel good about the running game bulls fans

Ponton is Andre with SPEED, and BREAKAWAY SPEED at that!  I think (and I'm not crazy) that he will be better than Andre.

PJ has been great as well.  I could not ask for more from him.  We're like the Tony Dungy Bucs - PJ is Dilfer, he does just enough to win Andre is Dunn, Ponton is Alstott, and our d plays BALLS OUT!!

Ricky will have a very bright future for us in 2006-2008.

And what's good is that he's getting quite a bit of carries ... we "could" have 2 backs with 1K  :o

Go BULLS !!!

Yes and I think they have shown we were wrong to question them.  They have done a great job so far.   I hope they keep PJ off the ground next week.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
