It limited the $ to the family, IIRC. It did not remove the fact that they were guilty of  gross negligence. I could be wrong.

Pretty sure fnf is correct that they were found negligent but the award was capped because of the government entity ....... capped at a figure less than the bogus bonus money they shelled out to coaches no longer with the program. Still rankles me when I think about it.

Isn't that like saying to your kid, "I want you to go to your room and think about what you've done..." but not actually grounding them?
